A Few Wonderful

Success Stories

Chancelene Jaime Wondercheck

Chancelene Jaime Wondercheck’s story is one of the most powerful testimonies to grace the Victory Family Home of Champions in Rwanda. As an infant, she had been found abandoned in a toilet—malnourished, desperately ill, and fighting for her life. When she arrived at the Children’s Home, the Mamas gathered around her with tenderness and determination, feeding her tiny amounts of food at a time because that was all her fragile body could handle.

Day by day, they nursed her back to health, celebrating every small victory—her first smile, her first steps, the spark of joy slowly returning to her eyes. What began as a rescue became a transformation. Chancelene grew into a bright, energetic, deeply loved child who filled the home with laughter and possibility.

Today, she stands on the threshold of a new chapter, graduating from high school with confidence and a future full of promise. Her life is a living reminder that love can rewrite even the most painful beginnings, and that hope—when nurtured—can grow into something extraordinary.

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”
